Yoga boosts mood

According to papers published by the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine and Boston University yoga specifically stimulates areas in the brain and facilitates the release of mood enhancing neurotransmitter Gamma-aminobutryic acid (GABA).

In a subsequent study is was also found that when compared to light exercise such as walking, yoga participants reported greater improvements in mood and less anxiety.
